I simply cannot believe this was the first time you've read The Bloggess. She has actually changed my life in ways I can't even describe (and has set me on a mission to find my own big metal chicken).

So I'm actually going to send you an email of the most important Bloggess posts that you NEED to read. I can't believe you've gone this long without her. That's like going this long without me for crying out loud. Only I'm less famous. And a lot more whiny.

Now I'm all blushy.

I love you. But! How could you not read the Bloggess yet!?!?

Congrats again, and thank you for taking the time to write me with your head cut off. That really must've taken forever. You ARE a dear.

Oh my gosh, that just MADE. MY. DAY. And immediately I was trying to think of who I could send that link to to share in the hilarity and awesomeness. And I couldn't think of anyone I know who would find it as funny as it is. I need new friends.

I can not believe that *I* (late-to-the-party Karen) has read the Bloggess (and the post in question) before YOU!

And reading your post about reading that post makes me want to go and read it all over again and crack up just as hard...

It's not too often that I am envious of others or wish that I were different, but you know what? I wish I was as funny as you are...and as The Bloggess is But I guess I'll have to settle for deep and introspective LOL

And yes, CONGRATS again on your bright shining special you-ness!

Oh yeah. The first time I read that, I thought. I was going. To die. I still pull it up from time to time when I need a good laugh. Knock knock mother clucker. Oh man I love that - now I can actually quote it to my husband!! Awesome.

Incidentally, our 5th anniversary was on Tuesday and I was thisclose to getting a small metal chicken for my hubby. But I couldn't find one. Seems they've gotten really popular in the last few months. Hmm...

I swear if you ever actually find a big metal chicken...you'd better send me one! Glad you enjoyed so much. I read it to my friend and she didn't see as much humor in it as we did. I guess that means we are either really strange, or she's just really boring. Either way...knock knock mother clucker!

I loved that story too! I was reading it on our home computer and my reactions were the same as yours. My husband thought I was absolutely losing it....SO FUNNY! Make's me want a big, huge chicken, oh the conversations that would follow that

Haha! Loved your post and the Bloggess post! I was literally laughing out loud, but in the privacay of my own home! I can just imagine the snorts and roars of laughter coming from you in the doctor's office!! (Because I have witnessed that first hand obviously!) And if you ever find a metal chicken or anything else just as crazy that you want to put at your front door, ring the doorbell, and see Matt's reaction - I am right there with you!! You know I live vicariously through you anyway, right???
