Blah-zard Update

173

POINT 4

Ug.

But then, following my new way of life, I measured my waist. 34.25

I've lost half an inch.

IN 2 WEEKS.

So I suppose I can't really complain about my itty bitty gain.

I'm going back to my scale, but with control. No more weighing myself time and time again in a single day. I get one in the morning. AND THAT'S IT.

And now if you'll excuse me, I need to go eat my lunch and do some Fat Girl Yoga.

I'll be back tomorrow. And we will see what happens next!

How are you all surviving the big storm of 2011 so far?

Good job on keeping off that scale! And congrats on the 1/2 inch! That is awesome. We got the freezing rain, sleet and a tiny bit of snow. It passed us up too. The kids have had two snow days so far and we are hoping for a third tomorrow.

I had just got started swimming again, when this storm hit. So the past two days all I've wanted to do, since being homebound, was EAT! I don't even want to go to the scale.

You are doing amazing!!!!

I wish we lived closer, so I could do some fat girl yoga with you! You are an inspiration to me, and so many others. I'm with you on the weigh once a day thing. I've been obsessed in the past. Now I try to stay off it, and notice when my jeans are fitting better. I've got a looooonnnnngggg way to go, but now I will have way more fun doing it with YOU! Hope the snow goes away SOON! Yay for an early spring. Guess the groundhog values his life. :)

NOW those are results. You know me, I'm still weening myself from that stupid scale of mine BUT the measurements are helping the loss of losses (read: gains) more bearable. I am so proud of you. Also, I need to try yoga.

P.S.: We got hit HARD by this blizzard. Tim and I have been shoveling for 6+ hours (supposed to be his day "off." Oh well, I guess I exercised a lot today.

I want to *hug* your face!

No storm here, but I sure feel for the people going through it. Inches are very important in the journey. Gains are frustrating, but remember those NSV's.

ACK!!!! We're iced in and freezing our behinds off! Seriously. Who ordered this coldest temperature of all record keeping time kind of cold?? They should be beaten with a stick.

Kids will have their third day off from school tomorrow, because most of the side streets are still impassible, the High School has busted waterlines and an ice rink for a parking lot (not a good combination with teen drivers!), and the middle school has no heat. NO HEAT. The system blew up during a power surge.

Why? because the wonderful state of Texas doesn't have the electrical infrastructure needed for SUB ZERO temperatures!! Yep. SUB ZERO, as in below ZERO. As in we are all freaking out because nobody has ever in their lifetimes felt cold like this. As in plumbers are rubbing their hands together and gleefully sewing money bags to hold all the cash they'll be making over the next few weeks. The power grid is strained to the max, and we're having rolling blackouts to keep everyone in power.

*sigh* I've been working from home because I'm an ice-driving wimp. I like my car shaped just the way it is, thank you. The kids are restless and the husband is cranky. The dog loves the cold. Stupid Dog.

WAY TO GO on the inches!! *swak*

I need to get into doing some fat girl yoga again. It has always made my aches and pains sort of disappear.

Down here we got mostly ice, so a lot of the country roads are still pretty treacherous. I have not left my house SINCE SUNDAY. I have only stepped foot outside to get the mail and / or try and de-ice the sidewalk so my daycare families can reach my door without falling on their rumpuses (my new favorite word, created by my 2 year old).

Snow days for me mean extra kiddos here all day, WHICH SUITS ME JUST FINE! I like having the extra faces here all day, especially my own 6 year old who is usually in school. They went to school on Monday and were dismissed early. They've been out ever since and won't have school tomorrow because it's a scheduled parent / teacher conference day. I AM LOVING THIS!

Also, good job on the inches lost. I need to measure my parts, too. I haven't yet.

Colleen
Goodbye, Fat Girl!
