THE TURKEY TUTORIAL

I know that the size may make my commentaries (aka smart alec remarks about myself) hard to read. The end should be fine, so I just posted the first part on Youtube, and then search for Charliegirl2490.

Have fun watching my Turkey Tutorial!!! Then go check out Giving Up on Perfect as my bloggy friend Mary prepares to "Give Up on a Perfect Thanksgiving!"

(And the video quality is not great. Can you imagine the fun I could have with an HD video camera? Santa, please leave THAT under my tree!!!)

You crack me up! That sounds like a GREAT way to make a turkey – although WAY more work-intensive than smearing it with butter, putting it in a bag and sticking it in the oven for a few hours. :-) I just don’t know, though – can such a PERFECT recipe really be part of an IMPERFECT life? Just kidding! I love you and your turkey – even if you did tell me to flip the bird over and over and . . . ! ;)

Almost forgot to say - I especially loved the music during your technical difficulties. Nice touch.

That was so cute. I loved it. I am definitely going to have to try a turkey that way. I bet flipping it over and over really helps keep it moist by sitting in the juices. Thanks.

For years I have imagined having a cooking show that reflected real world cooking with distracted mom's and kids coming in and out of the kitchen. You would soooo be my first guest if I ever got to have such a show! and I'd also hire you to do the pop up commentary...that was the funniest part. I couldn't stop watching...waiting to see what you would pop up next! When my slow cooker turkey post pops up tomorrow (yep...scheduled to come up while i am still slumbering),I have given a shout out for readers to come see this!

oh ya...and I was so glad to see the honey go on at the end. I kept thinking through the whole thing that you went back to the store with all the drama for 2 tablespoons of honey for the basting sauce...was it worth it? And yes...definitely worth it at the end!

OMG and sorry for creepily commenting three times on the same post, but my husband LITERALLY just said "I like that music your playin' hon!"

And it was at the part where you were having technical difficulties.
