And I am pathetically tired this week. I haven't slept well, but all I can think about is sleep. I'm pooped! So I am going to curl up on the couch till the munchkins get home from school and maybe shortly after they get home from school and SLEEP. I can hardly keep my eyes open right now! (I just made a pot of coffee too, but I'm going to leave it alone till after my nap.)
But this morning, as the kids woke me up at 7am to get them ready (which is later than I like, but it wasn't crazy late) I sat on the couch in a stupor, trying to get my body to wake up. It wasn't happening, but I was trying. And I realized I had to pee like a race horse.
So I got up and tried to hurry to the bathroom, and 2 things happened,
A. I realized that I had already dribbled in my pants while sleeping cause I was THAT tired, and was having dreams about being stuck in Noah's ark
and
B. I KEPT dribbling in my pants with every single step to the bathroom. By the time I got in there, it was pretty much pointless for me to sit down.
It was a fantastic way for me to wake up, jah?
So after a frantic morning, and taking my Grandma to the doctor, and having her ask me if I was preggers (which she was more than happy to suggest cause she's a comedianne like me and she likes to get my goat) and me declaring that it was impossible unless it was a miracle growing back together of my fallopian tubes, I am anything but energetic. I'm down right spent.
I'm going to take a nap.
But- it got me to thinking- have any of you ever had anyone ask you when your baby was due when you weren't pregnant? Just wondering if I was the only one... how did you respond to them?
I'll read your comments when I wake up.

Oh girl, you poor thing! I hope you're not getting sick, being so tired (since pregos is out of the question!)! I say just forget everything, and sleep to your hearts content this weekend! Sounds like you need a break!
Yep, I've had the unfortunate experience of the pregnancy comments when I wasn't. Once, a co-worker of my moms commented to me "I didn't know you were expecting! When are you due?" - I just smiled and said "I'm not pregnant, just fat"! I left feeling like a fat whale, but that wasn't half as bad as how she probably felt considering the look on her face! And another time, I was in a job interview & the guy asked me if I was expecting! When I said no, he said "oh ok, your dress was just a little blousy there so wanted to make sure?" UGH! Obviously, I didn't accept that job offer!
Hoping you get your rest & feel better!!

I don’t normally do this, but my daughter, Bethany(age 10) just wrote something that I posted on my blog. I’m asking that you take a look at it and leave a comment to give her some encouragement. She was very nervous, but took a big leap because I asked her to. Please help me boost her confidence in sharing what God is speaking to her heart. Thanks!!!!!
Obedience… a ten year olds perspective.
HAHA! I've never had anyone ask me if I was preggers, but since getting married it's a constant "when are you going to have one?" Especially now that my sister just had her first. I just smile real big and say "give it time" :)

I'm not pregnant, never have been...
I visited my grandma (who has Alzheimers) a few weeks before Christmas and took her a few Christmas treats to enjoy. After eating a few she said (as she patted her stomach) "I better stop eating cuz I have a little too much here." I said (as I patted my stomach) "Oh we all have a little too there this time of year." To which she replied "But I'M (big emaphasis on I'm) not pregnant. Merry Christmas Grandma.
Hope you got some rest today!
Oh - and I peed my bed when I was around 12 one time when I was sleeping. In the dream I was searching for a toliet cuz I had to pee so badly. I finally found one in the dream and let go. Not such a nice way to wake up! :o)
I can't tell you how much it meant to Bethany and I that you posted a comment. It made her day! Seriously!
As for the pottying! You crack me up. I think you just have a weak bladder. And I, too, hope you aren't getting sick. But, I do have to say, you've been pushing yourself alot with the play coming up and your body might being giving you signs that you need to slow down and let it rest. You can't do everything, Mama!
I never had the preggers comment, but I remember my mother did... and I remember last year at a friends wedding, another of my friends was holding her 5mo old daughter on her hip when the mother of the bride asked when she was due!!! When my friend came up to tell me, I felt so bad for her!
I gain the majority of my weight in my stomach and from all of the surgeries it's uneven and lumpy and...well not very attractive. I get the "when's your baby due?" comment ALL THE TIME!!! I actually had someone pat my stomach and tell me how excited they were that I was having a baby. This was of course before I had had my first child and was about 50lbs lighter than I am now! I've even had people make comments when I was pregnant about am I sure I'm just having one because I look big enough to be having two. People are insensitive.
